We will be playing at Hiwinui School’s Hoedown on 1 March at the school on Watershed Road. This is a great fundraiser, with proceeds going towards a new playground.
Everyone’s giving their all to make this an awesome event. We’ll be providingentertainment from 6:30 pm. We’re bringing the full noise and including something for everyone: a few surprises for the kids and some favourites for the adults. Doug from One Night Only will be making the stage look spectacular as usual.
The afternoon begins at 3:00 pm and there’s lots of stuff to get involved in. The Pop Star Scarecrow competition looks like a lot of fun. A range of food and sweet treats will be available, so be sure to bring money in your pockets and a rumble in your tummy. Last year’s effort is still being talked about and we have heard that the food this year is going to be even better.
Nobody wants to consider the possibility of rain, but being the well-prepared people that they are, the organisers have booked the Village Valley Centre in Ashhurst should the weather turn nasty. We hope the current temperatures stick around for a while longer so we get to enjoy this event on the field at Hiwinui School.
